The ROOTED Accountability Framework is a modern, evidence-informed Domestic Violence Intervention Program (DVIP) developed by Avery-Robinson Training & Consulting to promote participant accountability, reduce coercive and abusive behaviors, and support long-term community safety.
Designed for court-referred and voluntary participants, ROOTED moves beyond outdated approaches that frame abuse solely as an anger issue. The program addresses patterns of power, control, manipulation, intimidation, emotional abuse, and coercive behavior through structured accountability-based intervention and facilitated group engagement.
ROOTED is structured as a 26-week Domestic Violence Intervention Program designed to align with North Carolina DVIP standards, including a minimum of 39 intervention hours delivered through live facilitated group sessions.

The ROOTED Accountability Framework was developed with consideration for the accountability, structure, and survivor-safety principles commonly associated with North Carolina Domestic Violence Intervention Programming expectations. The program incorporates structured live intervention, behavioral accountability practices, participation monitoring, and survivor-centered operational policies designed to support meaningful intervention and community safety.
